Price: $100.00

Quantity: 1 available

Book Condition: Very Good

Unpaginated. 163 numbered entries + 1 page table of contents + 4 specimen pages of other editions of this popular hymnal. Bound in contemporary half leather over marbled boards, red leather spine label with lettering stamped in gilt, all edges stained red (but faded). Marbled endpapers. An unusually nice binding for this title, the nicest we have seen. The title page is a cancel, a specially inserted page for this British edition. The tab for the inserted page is clearly seen. Probably published in conjunction with D.L. Moody's Great Britain evangelistic campaign, which secured his fame in the United States. Quite scarce. The OCLC Worldcat lists only two copies in institutional holdings, both of which are in Europe. Small printed ownership label on the bottom of the preface ("John Sibson"). Leather scuffed. Corners bumped and rubbed, three corners rubbed through. Boards scuffed.
