Evening Edition. Folio. Original newspaper from the night of the inauguration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Front page printed on a rose colored paper. Contains the entire "A" section (17pp.). Two large b+w photos on the front page of FDR being sworn in and of FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt leaving the Capitol Building for the White House. Another front page story states, "Chief Executive May Invoke War Powers to Deal with Crisis." One standard horizontal fold and one vertical fold. The front page is rubbed through at the left side of the horizontal fold. A very nice example of this "first day" paper out of Washington, from the collection of a man who marched in that inaugural parade of 18,000.
